Acceptable Use Policy
Last updated: March 2026
Accorbis provides a governance platform that helps colleges, universities, healthcare organizations, public agencies, and enterprises operate secure, compliant web ecosystems. This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) describes the rules that apply when you access Accorbis services, software, environments, APIs, integrations, or support channels (collectively, the “Services”). All customers, end users, and authorized administrators must comply with this AUP. Capitalized terms have the meaning given in the agreement between Accorbis and the customer.
1. Responsible Use
- Use the Services only for lawful business purposes that align with your organization’s contract and applicable regulations.
- Maintain the confidentiality of login credentials, administrative tokens, and API secrets. Notify Accorbis immediately at info@accorbis.com if you suspect unauthorized access.
- Configure role-based permissions so that each user has the minimum access necessary for their role.
2. Prohibited Activities
You may not, directly or indirectly:
- Disrupt, degrade, or compromise the Services or any connected infrastructure.
- Bypass security controls, attempt to probe or scan other customers, or perform penetration tests without written authorization.
- Upload or transmit malicious code, spyware, ransomware, or other harmful material.
- Use the Services to store, process, or distribute content that is unlawful, defamatory, harassing, discriminatory, or infringes on intellectual property rights.
- Resell, sublicense, or provide unmanaged third-party access to the Services unless expressly permitted in your contract.
- Misrepresent your identity or affiliation when interacting with Accorbis support.
3. Data Protection and Privacy
- Only upload regulated data (including FERPA, HIPAA, or GDPR-covered information) if your agreement authorizes that data category.
- Promptly configure retention policies, audit logging, and encryption options to meet your institution’s compliance standards.
- Ensure end users receive legally required privacy or accessibility notices before collecting personal data through the platform.
4. Platform Integrity
- Do not disable platform safeguards, monitoring agents, or logging features that protect your environment.
- Keep connected CMS instances, integrations, and custom code up-to-date and free of unsupported modifications.
- Follow Accorbis’ change-management guidance when deploying new templates, scripts, or connectors.
5. Reporting Concerns
If you observe a violation of this AUP, encounter a security issue, or need an exception for a sanctioned test, contact info@accorbis.com with relevant details. Accorbis may suspend or disable accounts that violate this AUP to protect the platform and other customers.
Thank you for helping us maintain a trustworthy platform for mission-critical digital experiences.
